Missionary work

Last night I had my smart phone out before bed reading this weeks lesson for Relief Society. I am so excited that I have an app on my phone that has all the church manuals, scriptures, and magazines I can go to at anytime day or night if I have my phone with me. Which I usually do!! So I felt the Spirit so strong and I was so touched by the lesson that I have thought about all day today and just read the manual again with my highlighter in hand. I have such a strong testimony of missionary work and I know if it wasn't for two missionaries and their unconditional love and Heavenly Father and His unconditional Love for me that I would not be the person I am today or where I am at in my life today. I love missionary work and I am so grateful for those who take the two years out of their lives to go to a place they have probably never have before. But anyway this lesson really touched me because it 1. Talked about what I can do here in my own neighborhood  2. What I can do in my home preparing my kids to go on their missions.
I need to wake up each morning with a positive attitude and be ready to serve my Father in Heaven. I need to give back to Him in prayer and study of His word. I have fallen short here lately. In my personal life I need to get back on track. I want to wake up each morning and say Heavenly Father this is YOUR day lead me and guide me to what YOU want me to do with it!
Another thing I took away from the lesson is my neighbors and those that are around me need to know I am a Christian. I need to be a caring, helpful and giving person to those around me.  I want people to say there is something different about you and not in a bad way :)
So last but not least MY KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I 3 kids that are Latter Day Saints and I pray will all serve missions when they are of age. Ok that time will be here way before I know it. So as a mother I have so much responsibility to these gifts! So what do I need to do? I need to do so much with my husband to be preparing them starting NOW. We need to saving money. But we need to be teaching them this gospel. They need to know the scriptures! WE need to be more consistent with Family prayer, Family scripture study, Family Home Evening. We need to be working with them on scout stuff and personal progress more. We need to be active parents. I am not saying we are not we just need to do MORE! Starting today!! I think Family Home Evening Monday will be a Family Planning Session on what we will be doing for the next couple months in all the above things.
